A young widow must reach the Grand Canyon and "Whisper into the Ear of God" to fulfill a sacred promise.
After losing her job, Gina and her husband Nicky make a promise to take the trip they had always talked about: an adventure to the Grand Canyon. They are drawn by an ancient Anasazi Native American myth that says speaking into the canyon is "like whispering into the ear of God." When Nicky tragically dies in a car accident, Gina, in the depths of grief, decides to honor their vow and take the journey alone. Along the way ,she encounters a series of unforgettable characters who challenge her view of life, while an unknown figure secretly follows her every move. At the journey's end, Gina finds unexpected strength, healing, and the possibility of new love.
